Should Doug Pederson no longer be the Eagles head coach? (1/11/21)

It is being reported that Eagles owner Jeffery Lurie will meet with Doug Pederson in South Florida to discuss the future of the franchise. Pederson’s future with the team is looking very murky at the moment. If I were Lurie I would pull the plug and head in another direction and here’s why.
Eagles offense has been a train wreck ever since the Super Bowl season
From slow starts, bad play calling, and just not being able to put up enough points to win a game this offense has been mediocre at best over the past three seasons. Doug Pederson is the one who designs and calls the plays so he needs to be the one held accountable for the bad offensive play.
Carson Wentz regression
Wentz is coming off his worst year yet and it’s his 5th year in the NFL. After playing like an MVP in 2017, Wentz has regressed mightily. Pederson is to blame for Wentz’s regression because he doesn’t put Wentz in a position to succeed. Wentz plays his best ball when he is able to use his legs and roll out of the pocket, but instead Pederson wants him to just sit in the pocket and get rid of the ball quickly like how he used Nick Foles.
Always promotes from within
We have learned that Pederson refuses to hire coaches from outside the organization, and the decision to always promote coaches from within always backfires. After Frank Reich left to take the head coaching job in Indianapolis Pederson decided to promote previous WR’s coach Mike Groh to OC, and man that was a really poor decision. Ever since Pederson decided to promote Press Taylor to QB’s coach Wentz has not been the same. It is being reported that if Pederson keeps his job then Press Taylor will be promoted to OC, um why?
Players have lost faith in him
There were recent reports saying that Wentz wants to be traded elsewhere. If those reports are true then it just goes to show that Wentz has lost all faith in Pederson. After the last game of the season a few players were questioning on why Jalen Hurts was pulled out of the game for third string QB Nate Sudfeld. There’s a video of Hurts sitting on the bench showing how angry he was about the decision.
Does Pederson even want to be the head coach of this football team anymore?
During the season reports came out that Pederson wouldn’t mind getting fired. Well if that’s the truth then so long Doug Pederson. What’s the point of keeping someone around when they don’t even want to be there anymore?
