NFL free agency has officially begun, and the Eagles look to retool their roster in order to build a winning team with Jalen Hurts under the helm. Here are five free agents that the Eagles should target during this free agency period.

Xavier Rhodes

While he isn’t the All-Pro cornerback that he once was, he could still provide a solid 1–2 punch with pro bowl cornerback Darius Slay in the backfield. Rhodes will be another added veteran to the secondary to go along with Slay and Rodney McLeod.

Kenny Golladay

This one seems pretty unlikely, but adding Kenny Golladay would make this offense lethal. With Miles Sanders and Dallas Goedert already in the fold, adding Golladay would give the Eagles an elite offensive trio. He’s a big physical receiver who could jump up and make contested catches, and he could stretch the field with his deep playmaking ability.

Hasson Reddick

Why not bring back a Temple alum? Originally from Camden, New Jersey and going to Haddon Heights High School, Reddick grew up a big Eagles fan. Bringing him in would not only be a homecoming, but it would also improve the Eagles depleted linebacker core. He would form a solid tandem with Alex Singleton. The Eagles have not been known to invest heavy in linebackers, but now would be the perfect time to finally invest.

Anthony Harris

The Eagles are currently very thin at the safety position. Adding Harris would drastically improve the secondary and it’s depth. Last season, the Eagles were 29th in turnover differential in the league, and a lot of that was because the defense wasn’t able to force enough turnovers. Out of all 32 NFL teams, they had the 4th fewest interceptions, so adding a guy like Harris who had six interceptions during the 2019 campaign should help the defense create more turnovers.

Marlon Mack

Mack is a very realistic option for the Eagles. He shouldn’t be to expensive after he missed almost the entire 2020 season with a torn achilles. He has experience playing under Eagles new head coach Nick Sirianni when he was the Colts offensive coordinator. In two out of the three seasons when Sirianni was the offensive coordinator, Mack had the best years of his career. In 2018 he rushed for 908 yards, and in 2019 he compiled over 1,000 rushing yards with 1,091. Him and Miles Sanders would form one of the best running back duos in the league.
